movie nights and puppies ..

Well this week hasn't been too special ..just the usual! but we did have two movie nights which is always fun ..wednesday night me, curt, and cux went and saw transformers! totally awesome ..loved it! i would recommend it .. and friday night we all went and saw my sisters keeper. all i have to say is it is not like the book which made me and cux quite angry ..the ending of that book is what makes it amazing and in the movie they totally changed it ..so yes not happy about that one! other than the ending though it was a pretty good show ..we all shed a few tears ..except for curt ..i think.

Me, cux, and celesta also went and got our glitter toes redone ..super fun! so many colors to choose from and a fun mini girls night .. here's me and cux! so excited to finally hang out for once in our lives .. :) love ya sista friend!


AND - we aren't the only ones with a dog now!! On friday celesta and her fam joined the club and bought a cute cocker spaniel ..it's for keslee's birthday that is coming up and it sounds like she was pretty surprised when she saw her new puppy! As of friday there wasn't a name for this cute little dog ..me, curt, cux, and emily went and visited so we could see the cuteness in person and had to take a few pics! She is such a tiny little dog ..only five weeks old! I'm glad there are other crazy family members out there who want to have a house that smells like dogs just like we do ..haha! we love the stephenson clan ..






We are loving the sun that is finally shining ..we went to our pool a few times this week to soak up some rays and play with the nieces and nephews. they love our pool just as much as we do ..i hope the rain is gone for good now!

I also took my RN boards this week and passed! So its totally official now ..i'm a freakin RN baby! YAY! glad i'm done with nursing school ..only about two weeks until i start the internship at the U of U and i can't wait ..curt is busy with summer school! its always crappy to have homework throughout the summer but he is doing awesome and will be done in no time! We have both recovered from the wasatch back and are starting a new exercise program this week so wish us luck with that .. we are both so lazy so we'll see how it goes! Hope all is well with the world ..

run. eat. sleep? repeat!

So this friday and saturday was the wasatch back relay ..and me and curt being the stupid ones that we are ran it. We were on my parents team which was fun ..but i feel like i'm gonna die! We are both so freakin sore ..ouch!! everything hurts .. :(

For those of you who don't know what the wasatch back ragnar relay is ... it is a total of 188 miles of running going from Logan to Park City. You are on a team of 12 people and you run 3 different legs. You start early on friday morning ..run all day and all night ..and finish saturday afternoon some time. It took our team 28 hours and 45 minutes to run ..its pretty brutal. The course is full of hills, rocks, and beautiful scenery. You have a team name and everyone decorates their vans or trucks with their team name. This was Curt's second time running it but my first time so i had no idea what i was in for .. even though i just about died every leg i ran it was still fun. I trained a little bit but not much ..i should have been running like ten miles a day to be in shape for this but oh well. I still made it ..barely!

Curt ran a total of 18.4 miles ..yikes! He was awesome ..i kept telling him to run slow but he didn't listen. Every leg he ran he kept getting faster and faster ..he is amazing!! I have no idea how he can be so amazing at everything he does ..but he is and i love it! I ran a total of 13.6 miles ..my legs would be very easy for pretty much anybody .. but since this is the first time in my life i've really had to run ..and because i didn't really train for it .. it was rough!! i have no idea how i did it ..but somehow i did! it sucked but it was really fun too ..!

I did a really crappy job at taking pictures ..my mom has lots of video but we didn't take too many pictures ..like only two. But oh well ..it was hard, fun, rainy, sunny, stupid-but worth it! It feels awesome crossing the finish line with your team ..such an accomplishment!!

Unfortunately ..now we are SO sore. Can't walk ..can't move ..can't sit ..stairs SUCK ..i don't think i have ever felt this sore in my life. I'm not gonna be able to walk normal for at least two weeks .. OUCH! when we got home we hit up the hot tub then went straight to bed ..we fell asleep saturday at about 4:30 pm and woke up on sunday at 12:00 pm! thats like 20 hours of sleep!! WOWZA!! all in all ..it was a fun weekend!! :)

rain rain go away ..

i hate the rain!! Well not all the time-but after two straight weeks of rain i am done! I haven't been to our pool in over two weeks because of the stupid weather ..this is so depressing! Its freakin JUNE! i want sun .. :(

Well ..we haven't had a very exciting couple weeks but there are a few things to blog about. Last week my little sister graduated from good ol davis high school ..me and curt went to her graduation and man did she look good in that brown and gold! haha ..but no seriously she looked gorgeous and so ready to be done with high school! we are so proud of her and all that she has accomplished ..she is getting ready to go to the U of U this fall and i couldn't be more excited for her! Go Utes! It was fun to be with family and of course celebrate with lots of food and pictures ..!

It was also a week of hair cuts ..hardy got his first hair cut this week! I have never had a dog before and never knew that grooming a dog could take so long and be so complicated ..they asked me all these questions about how i wanted him groomed and about a 'teddy bear' face ..i didn't even know what that was. They were very nice and i just ended up telling them ..uhh just make him cute! and they did ..everyone loves hardy's new hair cut. The before and after pictures are pretty funny ..i didn't realize his hair was so long and shaggy until i saw him after. He was a little terrified after he was finished but it was worth it ..he looks super cute and smells way too good for a dog! Today curtis got a hair cut too ..his hair was pretty long and his sister jess was cutting everyones hair tonight at our sunday dinner so curt decided to chop his while everyone else was! and it looks great ..i like it a lot! here's some pics ..

Well thats about it ..nothing huge going on in our lives right now! This weekend we are running the Wasatch Back Relay and we are both more than likely going to die while doing it but hopefully it will be a little bit fun ..my mom and dad had a team and needed two more people so we volunteered! i hope i don't regret this ..haha! but we are still excited ..hope everyone is having a fun rainy june!
