labor day weekend ..

so we have had a pretty good holiday weekend ..full of friends, family, and fun! curt started off the weekend crane hunting ..he went up to corinne saturday morning really early with his shotgun and killed a bird within the first hour of being up there. it was a huge bird ..pretty sweet. we cooked it sunday afternoon and shared it with our families. its called the 'ribeye of the sky' so its supposed to be really good but most people were still a little skeptic ..





while curt was hunting i went to lunch with the girls ..it was ashlee's birthday lunch and we went to joyluck ..yummy! it was so fun to see all my friends ..i love every single one of these girls so much and we always have so much fun together. i definitely don't see them near enough ..

saturday afternoon our niece cali got baptized. it was fun to be with family and celebrate with her. she is such a cutie ..we love her! congrats cali d .. :)

on monday it was my turn to go crane hunting ..but i have the worst luck hunting. there were a ton of birds but none came flying over us so i couldn't get a shot off ..which would have been interesting because i haven't shot a shotgun for at least three years and i had never used the gun that we brought ..hmm lucky for the cranies! i had to settle with a picture by the decoys .. :)


overall its been way fun ..we both got lucky and didn't have to work the holiday which is a first so we really took advantage of being together. we went and watched cole and kason's soccer game and they won their championship game ..way to go boys! i hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and had a good labor day ..much love!
